What Is Art?

What is art?  I think that is a personal question. Who can create art?  I believe anyone can create art.  But I also believe a lot of people have a very close minded idea of what art is. Will you do me a favor, and for the next few moments forget everything you think you know about art and consider this... Webster's definition of art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture , producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Now, I struck through that part on purpose... because I want you to think outside the box for just a bit longer... Art is the creatively organized cabinet that you accomplished during your child's nap time today using Dollar Tree items.   Art is the meal/dessert that you prepared for your family last night.   Art is a fun filtered photo of you and your spouse, animal, child snuggling on Sunday morn...
